Mission

The band is still together! Jake and Elwood’s show features the “real deal” music and showmanship you love from the original guys. Their “take no prisoners” approach tributes Dan Aykroyd and the late John Belushi with production values that sets them apart. The Jake and Elwood show is true to the original movie storyline and tunes, while adding their personal touches that are sure to amuse and delight.

“Joliet Jake” (Fred Bevier) and “Elwood Blues” (Lance Haack) bought one of the cop cars used in The Blues Brothers movie, filmed in Chicago in 1980. After the untimely passing of Belushi in 1982, “Jake and Elwood” began producing short films and moved their mission forward. Thousands of performances later, “Jake and Elwood” are proud to carry on the spirit created by Belushi and Aykroyd.

Blues Brothers’ movie characters Aretha Franklin, Cab Calloway and Brother Ray Charles are a big part of the show. “Cab” will greet with Minnie the Moocher and “Aretha” gets you to Think and R-E-S-P-E-C-T as you Shake Your Tailfeather. “Ray” sings America the Beautiful just as the band takes a tour of cities from Goin’ Back to Miami to Viva Las Vegas before returning you to Sweet Home Chicago!

Complete with the car, uniformed security and dancers the live show is the choice to make for your Chicago-themed event guaranteed to entertain everyone.

“Jake and Elwood bring Brother Ray, Aretha, Cab Calloway and their powerhouse band, along with Chicago cops and dancers to make this extravaganza a must see, over and over again!”
—Michael Jordan
